Theatre Artist, Vocal Coach and music teacher, Dipali Singh is part of the Delhi Gharana of music & has been training under Ustad Iqbal Ahmed Khan Saheb and Dr. Anees Ahmed Khan of the Delhi Gharana. She has also studied under Dr. Smita Bahuguna Garg of the Gwalior Gharana & Prof. Nimita Sharma of the Patiala Gharana. She received her Theater voice training from the well known Bollywood lyricist & actor Piyush Mishra. She has been performing live on stage since the age of 11 and playback singing for the National School of Drama in Delhi. She has recorded solo live performances for the Indian National Television, Delhi Doordarshan, Playbacked for Patna Doordarshan & Internationally performed for the Indonesian Radio & on various occasions on behalf of the Indian Consulate in Jakarta, Indonesia. She has to her credit performed on the same stage as her Gurus Ustad Iqbal Ahmed Khan & Dr. Anees Ahmed Khan, Ustad Shakawat Hussain Saheb and other prominent artists.
Dipali has been an integral part of the well known Act One Art Group, where she received National publicity in leading Indian Dailies for her acting abilities and her singing prowess. Besides performing at International & National forums, for the radio and for BBC Channel four, she has been conducting voice training workshops & teaching music since the past 15 years. She is known for her versatility and range. Inspired by both classical and film music, she performs and teaches film music, semi classical, ghazal and folk music with emphasis on voice training & vocal theatrics.
Dipali continually studies, researches, learns & keeps herself abreast of both Indian & western voice training techniques, music styles and new developments both technologically & theoretically. She uses the latest tools & has developed unique strategies combining her knowledge to train her students.
Dipali Singh is a well known performer & teacher in Southern California. She has been training children & adults since 2002 in the United States. Her performances have received rave reviews in the local media and her reputation, as a teacher & performer, has been applauded by the Indian community. Her student list includes the who's who of the So Cal Indian Community. |
